Neuromodulation and Workplace Mental Wellness

At the 2026 AACM Conference, PsychSolutions will be presenting on practical approaches to supporting employee mental health, resilience, and workplace wellness. Samantha Pekh, M.A., Registered Psychologist, will lead the session, providing managers and health professionals with practical strategies they can use within the workplace to support team member well being, manage cognitive and emotional fatigue, and create healthier, more sustainable work environments.

The session will explore practical strategies for recognizing stress and cognitive overload, supporting emotional regulation, improving focus and mental energy, and helping employees respond more effectively to workplace demands. These tools are designed to be practical, accessible, and applicable within everyday workplace interactions without requiring managers to take on a therapeutic role.

The presentation will then introduce neuromodulation and rTMS as an emerging approach to supporting mental health and overall wellness. Attendees will learn about ExoMind and how brain based treatments may complement psychotherapy, medication, and other health supports by targeting brain networks involved in mood regulation, cognitive functioning, emotional processing, and executive functioning.

The session will also explore the research foundation behind rTMS, appropriate clinical applications, potential benefits and limitations, and how neuromodulation may fit within a comprehensive employee health and wellness strategy.

Designed for clinic managers, organizational leaders, and health professionals, this session will provide both practical tools for supporting healthier workplaces and an introduction to emerging approaches that may help employees maintain their mental well being, resilience, and ability to perform at their best.

CBT for Insomnia and Sleep Difficulties

At the 2026 International Health for Longevity Conference in Edmonton, PsychSolutions presented on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT I), an evidence based first line treatment for chronic sleep difficulties. Our presentation explored the prevalence of insomnia, the limitations of medication based approaches, and the strong research support for CBT I as a structured, short term, and highly effective intervention.

Attendees learned how CBT-I supports long term sleep improvement, reduces reliance on sleep medications, and improves related conditions such as chronic pain, PTSD, depression, and stress related difficulties. The session also outlined the practical structure of CBT-I as a focused eight week program that combines behavioural and cognitive strategies to improve sleep quality and overall functioning. It also highlighted the importance of collaborative and coordinated care with prescribing physicians, particularly when individuals are beginning to reduce or titrate sleep medications under medical supervision.

Neuroplasticity Informed Chronic Pain Care

At the 2026 International Health for Longevity Conference in Edmonton, PsychSolutions also presented on chronic pain management through a neuroplasticity informed care model, highlighting how pain can persist through learned neural pathways and nervous system sensitization rather than ongoing structural injury alone.

Our presentation integrated current research on neuroplastic pain, including brain based mechanisms of pain perception, fear responses, and threat system activation. It explored how evidence based interventions can support pain reduction, improved sleep, and enhanced wellbeing by targeting fear, reducing avoidance, and retraining the brain’s response to physical sensations. The session emphasized a collaborative, research informed approach to chronic pain recovery that supports functional improvement and quality of life.
