Practicum and Internship Opportunity - Edmonton
Interested in Training With Us?
Are you a graduate student in counselling, social work, or psychology looking for a practicum or internship placement?
PsychSolutions, Inc. is a trauma informed, non discriminatory, anti-oppressive mental wellness practice. We care deeply about ethical clinical work, meaningful supervision, and creating a culture where people feel safe to learn and grow. Psychological safety, respectful communication, and professional integrity are important to us.
Even though we aren’t accepting applications right now, we understand how important practicum and internship experiences are in shaping a future clinician. The right placement can help build confidence, clinical skills, and professional judgment in meaningful ways.
When we do have openings, we look for students who bring emotional maturity, professionalism, and a real openness to feedback. Supervision here is taken seriously, and we value people who are reflective, willing to learn, and able to apply guidance thoughtfully in their work with clients.
Experience supporting clients with mental health concerns or life challenges is highly valued. This might include roles in community agencies, crisis support, or other helping positions. We look for students who have worked with people facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or major life transitions, and who can bring that experience into the care and support they provide in our clinic.
We are especially drawn to applicants who are naturally warm and caring, but who can also be clear, direct, and assertive when it’s needed. Supporting clients well means showing compassion while setting boundaries, giving honest reflections, and guiding conversations in a helpful way.
Above all, we look for individuals who align with trauma informed principles and are committed to ethical, client centered care. This combination of care, confidence, and integrity is what helps our team make a real difference.
If you would like to share your interest for future consideration, you are welcome to contact us.
For now, please note that we are not accepting applications at this time.
